Our light drones are the most advanced in the world. A team of engineers pioneered our technology over a decade ago and then incubated the technology within Intel. Intel flew these drones on global scale events such as the Tokyo Olympics and the Super Bowl Halftime Show.

Even though there are low cost drone options on the market today, we only use Nova Sky Stories technology. It is in an elite category of its own with the most experienced and professional operations team available today.

Jaw-Dropping Excitement for All

It’s the vision of Pyrotecnico and Nova Sky Stories to bring art to the skies of every city and town in the world.

With multiple sky art solutions in our arsenal: fireworks, special fx, and drone sky stories—we can bring an entirely new, sensory overload experience to your next event.

Certainty & Safety? Top of Mind...

The most reliable and seamless technology on the market. Our drone operators have 10,000+ hours of logged flights.

Our technology is designed & manufactured in North America. This allows for real-time customer support & a smaller footprint to deploy shows.

We use charging stations instead of swap batteries. Less labor is needed for shows and fleets are ready for another flight in 45 mins.

Only we can safely fly large sky stories in US & Europe. 9000 drones reside in our warehouses.

We are the only company that can fly endless shows. This is the perfect solution for visibility before, during, and after an event.

Below are common questions regarding drone light shows. Please reach out to us at any time for more information.

What is a drone light show?

A drone show is a synchronized, choreographed swarm of drones with LED lights that are used to tell a story and create art in the sky. Drone shows can range from 200-1000+ drones. Drone shows can be used for an intimate and unique event, or a large scale outdoor event, like a music festival or sporting event.

What type of event makes sense to add a drone show?
  • Special events
  • Marketing and media events
  • Private parties
  • Product launches
  • Sporting events
  • Music festivals and concerts
  • Holiday celebrations: 4th of July, New Year’s eve and more

A drone show is essentially a sky story that creates an unforgettable experience. Your audience will be mesmerized by the hundreds of drones flying and creating enormous shapes and logos to light up the sky!

What is included in a drone light show?

Drone shows can generally be described as a sequence of UAVs operating in harmony to display 3D imagery, animations, shapes, logos, lighting, and beyond. With Pyrotecnico, you can bundle a fireworks display and a drone light show at one event.

What is the cost of a drone light show?

Various considerations go into the pricing of a drone light show. The main factors that affect the cost of a drone show includes:

  • Length of drone show
  • Number of shows during an event

How safe are drone shows?

Very. Safety is our top priority with every event. The drones are designed with many safety and redundancy parameters. Each drone operates at different frequencies in a different wifi spectrum than the general public to ensure communications are always maintained. There are also a variety of safety protocols in place, such as geofences, to ensure that the drones never operate in an unsafe manner.

Can I book a fireworks show and a drone light show?

Yes. We can help you plan and execute each show, seamlessly, at the same event.

Where are the best places to have a drone show?

Drone shows can be flown in a variety of locations with a reasonable safety distance between the drones and the audience. Drone shows cannot fly over people. Avoiding airports, buildings, and other obstructions is key.

Destinations, locations, venues with a clear view of the sky usually make good drone show locations.

Who flies drone shows?

Our drone shows are operated by trained pilots. There is a necessary level of expertise and aviation authority approval to fly drone shows. Intel, who designed and engineered our drones, led the way with amazing work on events such as multiple Super Bowls, and the Tokyo Olympics Opening Ceremony.

Will drone shows replace fireworks?

Heck no! There are opportunities where fireworks make more sense or vice versa, and we can bundle these entertainment solutions  together for a fireworks and drone light show spectacular.

What factor does weather play?

Drone shows cannot fly in heavy wind or heavy rain. A light rain may cause a delay, but we do have certain restrictions related to visibility for safety purposes.

We can fly in moderate to high winds. Our typical thresholds are over 20mph sustained and/or gusting over 30mph. We must follow all FAA guidelines regarding weather for UAV flight, including visibility range and cloud height.

If the risk of inclement weather becomes a factor, we will align with event management to choose a safe course of action.

How high can a drone fly?

Drones can fly up to 400 feet above ground level. We can request special exemptions from the FAA which can take up to 90 days. Safety is our top priority and we will work closely with the FAA to ensure all safety protocols are followed.

What is the process for a custom drone light show?

Our creative team will help guide and design a stunning drone show that showcases your story or the art you want to light up the skies. If you have a design team, we can collaborate with them to bring the show to life as art in the sky!

What safety protocols do you follow?

Our drones operate in accordance with all FAA requirements. We obtain airspace permission before each show. Drones can fly up to 400 feet above the ground. We will conduct safety inspections to protect the audience areas and nearby property before and during the event.

How long is each drone light show?

Each show typically ranges from 8 to 10 minutes. We can conduct multiple drone light shows as close as 30 minutes apart at the same event.

How can I get started?

To get started, reach out to our team by filling out the form on this page or the contact page. We will contact you to schedule a consultation. During our meeting we can discuss your needs, geographics, design, budget, and pricing considerations.

Do you offer video services?

Heck yes! We offer full video and editing services as an add-on to our drone light shows. We can film your drone light show from the air, ground and behind the scenes (BTS). We can also turn the content around in a reasonable timeframe to boost the visibility of your custom drone light show beyond the event.
