Our story began in a small town in Italy near Naples. Fireworks were a common village trade made by locals to be shot primarily for religious ceremonies. But Constantino Vitale was uniquely gifted in the craft.
OUR STORY
In 1922, Constantino immigrated to America and brought his talent with him. He set up shop in New Castle, Pennsylvania, a popular settling city for Italian immigrants, and began creating fireworks displays as a business.
OUR STORY
Constantino’s love for his trade got his new community fired up. Many immigrants who came to New Castle to be tin mill workers, took second gigs, working nights and weekends to help the booming, Vitale family business.
OUR STORY
A legacy was born. New Castle is now known to be the fireworks capital of the United States, the home of those who inspired America’s passion for fireworks shows as symbols of independence on the 4th of July.
OUR STORY
Constantino’s incredible devotion to providing the greatest fireworks and fireworks shows in America lives on in Pyrotecnico—now run by Stephen and Rocco Vitale, his great-grandchildren.
